After 14 games, the Gunners have a five-point lead over defending champion Manchester City in the Premier League standings. In contrast, the Red Devils sit in a distant fifth place, 11 points behind the Gunners.

The North London team has 12 wins and just one league defeat this year, which came against the Red Devils at Old Trafford which made Man Utd legendary striker, Cristiano Ronaldo has thrown his weight behind the gunners.

Speaking to Piers Morgan, as cited by Caught Offside, the Portuguese spoke highly of Arteta’s team.

“I like the team. I like the coach. I think they have a good team. And if Manchester United don’t win the Premier League, I will be happy if Arsenal do,” said Ronaldo.

Meanwhile, before the international break, Ronaldo was left out of the last match against Fulham as his Manchester United sits in 5th position in the Premier League table
